MWE Labs Reclining Workstation

Ran across this company the other day. Anyone have experience. Have tried numerous chairs from all vendors, but continue to have leg pain/numbness after sitting for 4 hours (yes, i get up/have tried sit/stand and PT). Thoughts on this?

Honestly…I expected it to be more expensive. Only problem is the space. I currently have three desks in my office…two PACS workstations and my actual PC.

You can "custom build" one on the website, I had mine up to like $10k, cool paint, painted accents, 6 monitor system, audio package, etc.
Vaguely reminds me of (colossal douchebag) Nolan Sorrento's rig in Ready Player One.

If you haven't tried already, you might try a new exercise routine. Add in strength/core work if you're not doing that. Or start biking or some other new type of cardio. It may take a few months to start showing results but I've seen a change in exercise routine often help for back pain.

One of my attendings in residency had this in his office. Got to take it for a test drive. Not enough of a telechad to be worth it to me, but still pretty awesome.

Looks military grade. It's probably what drone operators use when they are bombing villages outside of Kandahar.

Needs more desk surface area. Also, if the tilt angle is high, will the mouse slide off?

eurothug Could probably just use a corded mouse with the proper length to stop it at the edge. Itll fall everytime you let go but youll learn where to grab. For me at least there is no sweet spot between enough friction to keep a mouse in place and moving it comfortably to work.

If you build it, one of the options is to add additional left and right desk extensions, both of which I would spec, as I agree with you, needs more desk space. Also thought about the mouse- perhaps there is some material you could stick to the desk to have just the perfect amount of friction that the mouse won’t slide off, but will still be easy to move around.
Much of the desk surface of my workstation is covered with Alcantara, but not where the mouse goes- Alcantara is too much friction.

PanScan 100%. It looks like the Emporer S2 reclines more than the XT and is a little cheaper. I have talked to their sales dept, strongly advised going with the "Iron Horse" optional seat. The S2 has a smaller footprint that the XT, albeit the XT looks boss.

I've been eyeing this kind of workstation for many years (Scorpio model ) but don't have the space for one.

If I had the extra room, I'd dedicated the entire room to my radiology office, deduct the scorprion workstation 100%, and deduct the entire room square footage from my mortage payment and other expenses.

I'd also fully deck out the room with "radiology related" tech toys to make it my man cave.
